THE UNIVERSITY OF MAINE at Augusta has been hosting “Jazz Week” this week, with free student and faculty concerts each night. Tonight, it’s a group called Puma at 7 p.m. followed by a Latin jazz ensemble at 8 p.m. There will be two free shows each night Friday and Saturday as well.

• DINING AND DRINK: ‘Triple Crown’ tastes at Salt Exchange
WILL THERE FINALLY be a Triple Crown winner this year? The Salt Exchange is betting on it. Taste four bourbons by Makers Mark and Jim Beam Small Batch at the restaurant’s “Bourbon and the Triple Crown” tasting event. Executive Chef Jeff Hodgdon will prepare Kentucky Derby-inspired hors d’oeuvres, and to really get you in the mood for the May 7 Run for the Roses, there will be a Mint Julep special.
