AUGUSTA — Maine insurance regulators are scheduling a fourth session to hear comments from the public on Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield’s proposed rate increases.

Anthem has requested rate increases of about 10 percent on average for several of its individual health insurance products covering about 11,000 customers. If approved by the Bureau of Insurance, they will take effect July 1.

Public comment sessions for consumers have already been held in Portland and Orono, with another session scheduled for April 11 at the Bureau of Insurance in Gardiner.

Insurance Superintendent Mila Kofman says the bureau has now scheduled a fourth comment session for April 5 at the University of Maine in Orono.
