SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas – Marcus Landry scored 29 points and Jeremy Lin added 21 for the Reno Bighorns, who took a 30-10 first-quarter lead and never trailed Wednesday in a 111-102 victory against the Maine Red Claws in the NBA Development Showcase at the South Padre Island Convention Centre.

Landry and Lin combined for 17 points in the first 7:32 as the Bighorns opened their 20-point lead.

Reno led 67-52 at the half and extended it to 84-60 midway through the third quarter.

Maine pulled within 96-91 with 5:11 remaining in the game, but a Landry 3-pointer started a 6-0 run and the Red Claws never got closer than eight the rest of the way.

All five starters reached double digits for Reno, which improved to 12-8.

Donald Sloan had 15 points and 10 assists, Anthony Richardson had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Patrick Ewing Jr. chipped in 16 points.

The Bighorns shot 54.3 percent from the field.

Reserve Paul Harris had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Red Claws, who fell to 10-12. Mario West put up 17 points and Jamar Smith had 16 points before fouling out. Kenny Hayes added 16 off the bench.

The Red Claws shot 46.3 percent from the field.
