SHAPLEIGH — David E. Remington, 58, of Acton, a Shapleigh firefighter, was killed Monday night in a crash while responding to a rescue call.

Remington was headed to a call on Owls Nest Road at 10 p.m. when he lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet pickup on Shapleigh Corner Road about one mile from Route 109. The truck rolled over and he was ejected, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the crash.

Remington was pronounced dead at the scene.
