The crew of a 42-foot lobster boat that ran aground off Biddeford are safe and on board another fishing boat, the Coast Guard said.
The crew of the Misty Dawn 2 had donned survival suits after their boat hit a ledge off Wood Island. The Coast Guard lost contact with the crew shortly after the mishap was reported at 1:40 p.m.
Several rescue boats were sent to the area.
Scarborough Marine Patrol was able to transfer the three crewmen to another fishing boat.
The Coast Guard dispatched a motor lifeboat and a helicopter..
Scarborough rescue worke4rs arrived in about 20 minutes and were able to transfer the crew of the Misty Dawn II to the Titan.
The Coast Guard said there is no pollution and they are working with the boat’s owners on a salvage plan.

BIDDEFORD — Crew members are donning survival suits after a 42-foot fishing boat ran aground on a ledge near Wood Island off Biddeford Pool.
The grounding was reported to the Coast Guard at about 1 p.m.
The three-person crew donned survival suits, but afterward Coast Guard search and rescue personnel lost communication with them.
The Coast Guard has launched a 110-foot cutter and a 47-foot motor lifeboat. Also on the way, are the Maine Marine Patrol, Cape Elizabeth water extrication team and Biddeford fire-rescue teams, a Coast Guard spokesman said.
A Coast Guard helicopter is en route from Cape Cod and was scheduled to be on the scene by 2:15 p.m.
