Cincinnati-based totes Isotoner Corp. announced it is acquiring Acorn Products, a Lewiston-based company that makes socks, shoes and slippers.
In a media release, Acorn President and CEO John Donnelly said the move gives Acorn access to a larger market and improves the company’s supply chain and operating capabilities.
“We are now a company with a global footprint, providing a line of products to customers and consumers well beyond what we’ve been capable of in the past,” he said.
Donnelly added that Acorn will continue operating from the company’s Lewiston offices.
Acorn, which is known for making a slipper-sock, was launched in 1976 by founder David Quinn.
