A minor accident on Route I-295 in Portland has tied up southbound rush hour traffic. Maine State Police say three or four vehicles were involved in the accident which occured shortly after 8 a.m.  One motorist suffered minor injuries.

The accident took place entering Portland from the north before Tukey’s Bridge.

Traffic is now backed up to Falmouth and police are waiting for a wrecker to remove one of the vehicles.
