AUGUSTA — If Maine’s five candidates for governor aren’t very familiar with one another yet, they will be after this week. Four debates are scheduled across the state for the last week before the election.
On Tuesday, a live debate at Presque Isle will be aired by WAGM-TV. It’s sponsored by the station and Leaders Encouraging Aroostook Development.
On Wednesday, WABI-TV in Bangor and the Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education sponsor a debate. On Thursday, Maine Public Broadcasting carries a debate, and on Saturday, WGME-TV and MaineToday Media co-host what’s expected to be the final live televised debate before the Nov. 2 election.
