GORHAM – The Gorham Police Department is investigating a string of five daytime home burglaries this month in the Little Falls area.
Lt. Chris Sanborn of Gorham Police Department said items reported stolen have included jewelry, money and electronics. Sanborn said residents in the area have seen a young woman knocking on doors or asking to use the bathroom. The woman has been described as having dark hair and about 5 feet 5 inces in height.
Sanborn is urging residents to report any suspicious activity to police. He also said residents should lock windows and doors in addition to ensuring that alarm systems are working. Sanborn recommended that residents record serial numbers of valuables.
Gorham’s Detective Lawrence Maxfield-Fearon has been assigned to the case. Sanborn said Maxfield-Fearon on Friday met in Scarborough with several area and York County police departments about the burglaries.
