Coach: Mike Farley

Record last year: 13-2

Key players: The Storm will call upon senior center midfielder Cortney Hughes, who Farley calls his “best all-around player,” junior forward Haley Carignan, who was the leading scorer in 2009, senior central defender Nicollette Caron, senior center midfielder Margaret Palmer, senior outside midfielder Sarah Little, senior outside back Tori Armishaw, junior defender Emily Tolman, junior defender Jessica Broadhurst, junior outside midfielder Meghan Tyson, and senior defender Heidi Bogdanovich.

Key games this season: “The key games this year will be Gorham on Sept. 13th, Cheverus on Sept. 23rd, Windham Oct. 4th and Thornton Academy,” Farley said. “Gorham is always a good team and will be very tough to beat, and Cheverus and Thornton were very tough like they were last year, and I image they will continue to improve this season. The SMAA is very strong this year with a lot of teams able to step up and beat anyone on any given day. It should make for some very interesting regular season matches.”

Season outlook: “Our team has a lot of experience with 12 seniors,” Farley said. “We want to strive for a level of consistency that has eluded us the past couple of years, and that will allow us to play our style and impose our will on every team that we play regardless of their record. If we can achieve that level of consistency I believe we will be a playoff team that has the ability to go deep into the postseason.”
