PHIPPSBURG – Sidwell Art Gallery, featuring new oil paintings of local scenes by landscape painter Felicity Sidwell, celebrates its opening from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at 79 Wallace Circle, West Point village, Phippsburg.
Sidwell lives in Brunswick and has been spending summers in West Point for several years.

Her paintings reflect her environment, with images of local islands, harbors and other scenes.
