MANSFIELD, Conn. — David Ricker broke a tie game with a leadoff home run in the seventh inning today to give the University of Southern Maine an 8-7 win over Eastern Connecticut to reach the championship round of the Little East Conference baseball tournament.

The Huskies (22-20-1) must beat UMass-Boston twice to win the title.
 
The first game is at 2:30 p.m. today. If the Huskies win, the deciding game will be at 11 a.m. Sunday.
