• This one will be fun.

Music director Robert Moody will be jiving from the podium when he leads the Portland Symphony Orchestra and guests Motor Booty Affair in a PSO Pops! tribute to the music of the ’70s. The orchestra will perform hits from the Eagles, Queen, the Village People and other popular bands from the Me Decade.

The orchestra will stage two performances of “Play That Funky Music,” first at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and then at 2:30 p.m. April 25. Both shows will be at Merrill Auditorium, 20 Myrtle St., Portland.

The program has a heavy slant of disco, with “Night Fever” and “Stayin’ Alive” from the movie “Saturday Night Fever” and the theme song from the 1971 movie “Shaft.”

Audiences are encouraged to dress the part by wearing bell-bottoms, platform shoes and polyester. Afros are encouraged, and dance moves are mandatory.
