SACO — The Saco Museum opens its first biennial exhibition this week, featuring contemporary works by artists who live, work or are connected to Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach.

The exhibition, “Mill-ennial,” opens with a reception Friday and runs through June 13. It will be on view at both the Saco Museum and the North Dam Mill in Biddeford.

Frederick Lynch, a painter from Saco, served as juror for the exhibition.

The show features 61 works by 39 artists.

Saco Museum Director Jessica Skwire Routhier conceived the biennial as an ongoing series of exhibitions showcasing the work of artists with a connection to the three communities.

The debut biennial presents a range of work, from paintings and photographs to assemblage sculpture.
