The Westbrook Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a 15-year-old boy who has been missing since Monday.
According to police, Christopher Vir left his home at about 5:30 p.m. Monday and has not returned.
Police believe that the teen is a runaway and may be suffering from some emotional or psychological challenges that increase his vulnerability.
Vir is 5-feet-8-inches talls and weighs approximately 173 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, black sneakers and a light-colored hooded sweatshirt.
Police said he may be visiting friends’ homes in Westbrook, Portland or Scarborough and that anyone concealing his whereabouts is acting contrary to his family’s wishes and may be placing him at risk.
Police urge anyone with information about Vir to contact Westbrook police Detective Sgt. Patrick Lally at 854-2531, ext. 414.
