BUXTON – Police Chief Mike Grovo said Tuesday a suspect remained in York County jail following a double stabbing Saturday evening.

Grovo said Michael C. Crockett Jr., 25, of 41 Perimeter Ave., Standish, is facing two charges of aggravated assault and one charge of violating bail conditions. Buxton police had received several calls of a fight in progress Saturday at the intersection of Callahan and Cemetery roads.

When police arrived, the suspect had fled. Grovo said witnesses identified the suspect as Crockett.

A Buxton man, 57, and a Scarborough man, 47, received non-life threatening injuries, according to police. One received an arm puncture and the other a wound on a hand. Buxton Rescue treated both victims at the scene but they drove themselves to a hospital.

Police didn’t release names of the two victims.

Grovo said Crockett turned himself in at 9 p.m. on Nov. 1 at York County Jail.

Buxton officers responding to the incident were Kim Emery, Ken Brislin and Vaughn Staples besides Grovo. Buxton Police Department is continuing the investigation.
