VTEC dominated the second half against Legends, pulling away for a 101-72 win in men’s Top Flight 4-on-4 Basketball League action. VTEC only led by 11 at the half before blowing out Legends in the second half. Jed Johnson’s hot shooting put VTEC out in front to stay as he scored 27 of his game-high 32 points in the first half, including seven 3-pointers. Derek Lovely added 20 points for the winners. Frank Billings scored 25 and CJ Vose 24 for Legends.

Smith Barney led from start to finish and won easily over Run N Gun, 97-76. Shaun Williams owned the inside, scoring 29 and Lou Wood chipped in 25 with efficient shooting for Smith Barney. Jamie Coll kept Run N Gun in the game with six 3s and 35 points in defeat.

Dream Team won its second straight game, this time over a reeling Bus Drivers team, 101-86. Seth Farrington continued his stellar play, scoring 40-plus for the second straight game. He finished with 44 for Dream Team. Jordan Hebert added 24 for the victors. Joel Duncan led four players with 20-plus points for the Bus Drivers, scoring 24.

Team Hancock jumped all over PBR, 103-90, in a game that was not as close as the final score suggests. Hancock shot lights-out in leading by 21 at the half. PBR finally knocked some 3s down in the second half to close the gap. Bob Mayo paced Hancock with 28 and his son Derek added 22. Chad Pulkinnen had 28 and Nick Farynaz 23 for PBR.

New Era had a great week, securing two wins. The first was over a feisty Greely team, 97-87. New Era had to hit free throws down the stretch to hold off Greely. Bill Hardwick had 29 and Mike Wilkins 28 for the winners. Paul Valente had 30 and Gabe Balzano-Brookes 25, including seven 3-pointers, for Greely.

New Era had just enough in the tank in the second game, edging a short-handed A-Team, 75-66. In this one, New Era had to withstand poor foul shooting to hold on for the win. Mike Wilkins and Dave Brown each had 18 for New Era. James Oberg led A-Team with 32 and Matt Isaacs added 19.
