Garden tour
on Saturday
A tour of some of the finest gardens in West Gorham will take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
“God’s Glory Garden Tour” will begin at the West Gorham Union Church on Ossipee Trail (Route 25). Cost is $12, or $17 with a box lunch.
Tickets are available at Ossipee Trail Garden Center, 333 Ossipee Trail.

Town accepting
credit cards
The town of Gorham will now accept credit cards for payments.
A nonrefundable convenience fee will be applied to cardholders who wish to pay via credit card or debit card.
The town has accepted debit cards for payments in the past without a convenience fee. However, the fees charged to the town by the bank to process these transactions have steadily increased.
The fee will be disclosed at the time of the transaction payment and the cardholder given the option to decline the fee and make the payment via check or cash. The fee will be 2.45 percent of the transaction amount (with a $1.50 minimum) except for payments made with a Visa consumer check card, which will have a flat fee of $3.95.
Gorham artist in Hub exhibit
A sculpture by Gorham artist Debe Loughlin is on exhibit at the Fort Point Gallery, 12 Farnsworth St., Boston.
Loughlin’s work is part of the “The Odysseus Project: Finding Home,” work by artists and veteran-artists focusing on issues of war and the experience of veterans returning home. The exhibit opened June 12 and continues through Saturday, June 27. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
U.S. taxpayer debt
The Bureau of Public Debt reported on June 11 that the U.S. public debt was $11,375,626,420,309.63.
