The Scarborough Athletic Council, a volunteer parent organization, held its annual Senior Sports Banquet on May 3. Fifteen seniors, sons and daughters of SAC members, were awarded $700 college scholarships based on essays they submitted answering the question “How has participating in high school sports impacted your life?”
The scholarship winners are, front row: Christine Beecher, Michaela Wood, Lauren Blaisdell, Amy Buttarazzi, Jenna Van Dam, Catherine Funk and Whitney Chamberlain. Back row: Matt Duquette, Neil Ravin, Nick Tolman, Peter Tuma, Garret Alofs, Craig Delisle, Brad Nakanishi and Sam Chick. The Scarborough Athletic Council needs parent volunteers for 2009-2010, if you will have an athlete at the high school next year, please come to a planning meeting at the high school on June 1 in room G005 at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Sue Curtis at 885-5856.
