FREEPORT — Robert Steven Prindall, 78, died at home on May 5 after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Portland on April 22, 1931, a son of Ernest and Christine (Bernier) Prindall and attended Brunswick schools.
He was a self-employed fisherman for most of his life.
His interests included hunting, antiques and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by a brother, Avery, his sisters Sarah and Pauline, and his daughter-in-law, Sally Prindall.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen of Freeport; daughter, Patricia and her husband Emil Smith of Freeport, son, Bruce Prindall of Durham; grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Guy Coombs of Sullivan, Brandon Prindall and his wife Susi of Kansas, Chad Smith and his wife April of Kansas, Brett Prindall of Nashville, Tenn., Travis Prindall of Durham; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Melinda Coombs and Gavin Smith.
Arrangements are by Kincer Funeral Home in Richmond.
A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
