Cape Elizabeth’s Kyle Danielson had a huge day at the plate on Saturday as he blasted two three-run home runs to lead the Capers (4-1) to a 16-2 pounding of Freeport. The Capers followed that win up with a 12-0 road win over Sacopee Valley on May 4. Danielson went 4-4 in the game with 3 RBIs. The Capers were scheduled to face Lake Region on May 6 at home (the game was played after the Current’s deadline) and then return to action on May 8 at home for a 4 p.m. game against Wells.
