BRUNSWICK — Delbert O. Fuller, 84, died March 20.
He was born in Molin, Ill. on Jan. 11, 1925.
In 1946, he graduated from Yale University.
He served in the U.S. Navy near the end of World War II. After his service, he worked as an executive in advertising and communications for 30 years in New York City.
He moved to Brunswick with his wife, Carol, in 1984 and became an avid coastal fisherman and boater.
He was an active promoter and player of racquet sports and won seven national squash titles and numerous state tennis titles in Maine.
In 2008, he was inducted into the Maine State Squash Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol G. Fuller of Topsham; children, Kathryn S. Fuller of Washington, D.C., and Joanna C. Fuller of Lexington, Mass., and Douglas O. Fuller of Miami, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Matthew and Maxwell.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., April 18 at Bowdoin College Chapel, Brunswick.
