The 20th annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic is scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at 4 p.m. at Waterhouse Field in Biddeford.
The football game between East and West squads gives Maine’s top high school seniors one last chance to strap on the helmet and pads before heading off to college. All proceeds from the game go towards supporting the Shrine Hospitals for Children across the United States, Canada and Mexico
Massabesic will be represented by running back Joey Eon.
Cape Elizabeth will be represented by lineman Nate Lavallee.
South Portland will be represented by fullback Matt Hebert.
Scarborough will be represented by lineman Billy Gorman.
Biddeford will be represented by quarterback Nate Curran.
Thornton Academy will be represented by linemen John Gilboy, JJ Begin and Patrick Randall.
Old Orchard Beach will be represented by running back Zachary Chase and coach Dean Plante will serve as head coach of the West team.
Westbrook will be represented by lineman Nick Adriance.
Gorham will be represented by lineman Clayton Loubier and coach Dave Kilborn, who will be an assistant on the West team.
Bonny Eagle will be represented by lineman Josh Spearin, quarterback Nate Doehler and defensive end Travis Dunn.
Windham will be represented by lineman Cody McLean and running back David Ingraham.
Gray-New Gloucester will be represented by fullback Nick Audet.
Lake Region will be represented by lineman Carlo Oliveira.
All participants commit to a weeklong training camp during the summer where they meet their teammates, practice and learn about the work of the Shrine Hospitals.
