Mainers are invited to speak up on the economy, health care, war and the environment – and any other issues that concern them – at public “Town Hall Meeting” on Friday, April 3.

The meeting, hosted by more than 45 community organizations from around the state, will be held 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Hannaford Hall at the University of Southern Maine’s Portland campus.

Maine’s congressional delegation, Gov. Baldacci, state legislative leaders and leaders of the Maine Municipal Association have been invited to attend. Several key elected officials – including Chellie Pingree, Hannah Pingree and Libby Mitchell – have indicated

they intend to be there. Former state Sen. Michael Brennan and

other local leaders will moderate the event.
