Gorham rec hoops:

Gorham Recreation held the first seventh and eighth grade girls basketball championship at Shaw Gym on Feb. 14. Three teams from Gorham and one from Windham competed. The championship pitted Gorham’s Maryland team against Gorham’s Connecticut team. Connecticut jumped out to an early lead but couldn’t hold on as Maryland played a strong second half to pull out a 19-15 victory. In the photo are (front row, left to right) Nicole Brunet, Alexia Foster, Ashley Keating, April Cummings, (back row) Lydia Story, Molly Dufour, Rebecca Lord, Karen Knight and assistant coach John Foster. Missing from the photo are Kiera Day and coach Todd Day.
