CurranTOPSHAM — Irene Millay Curran, 94, of Cadigan Lodge at The Highlands died Feb. 3.
She was born at home in Bowdoinham, June 29, 1914, daughter of J. Frank and Maude H. (Howe) Millay.
She attended Bowdoinham schools and Farmington Normal School.
In 1933 she married Terrence Curran of Richmond.
They lived in Bowdoinham before moving to Brunswick, where she was employed at Treworgy’s Furniture Store and later at Warming’s Market.
For many years she was an active member of Progressive Grange in Richmond.
She was predeceased by her husband Terrance on March 10, 2000.
Surviving are daughters, Kathryn Beote and her husband Richard of Kennebunkport, and Jean LeClair and her husband Ronald of Harpswell; grandchildren Greg LeClair of San Francisco, Gary LeClair and wife Linda of Harpswell, Lisa Rendall and husband Craig of Brunswick, Trudy Stevens and husband Mark of Kennebunk, and Richard Beote of Kennebunk; great-grandchildren, Brett LeClair of Boston, Adam LeClair of Harpswell, Sarah Stevens of Kennebunk, Stephanie Rendall of Brunswick, and Nicholas Rendall of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services by her request.
