On Saturday, the Scarborough boys and girls swim teams got their seasons off to a good start by sweeping a meet with Kennebunk at the Cape Elizabeth pool.
The Storm girls topped the Rams 101-82 and the boys won their meet by a similar score, 102-83.
Scarborough’s team of Dayna Ankermann, Maya Glab, Samantha Couillard and Alison Reynolds won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:04.82. The same team also captured the 400 free rely for the Storm. Glab also won the 200 free with a time of 2:14.83 and the 500 free in 5:58.12. Ankermann won the 100 back in 1:08.07.
Couillard took the 200 IM in 2:23.01 almost seven seconds better than second place Jamie Dussault of Kennebunk. Couillard also won the 100 free in 1:00.35.
Scarborough divers Hannah Yerxa and Michaela Wood took the top two spots in the one-meter diving.
On the boys side, Scarborough’s Nicholas Twomey, Craig Delisle, Thomas Spencer and Mark Endrizzi teamed up to win the 200 medley relay in 1:49.60. Twomey also captured the 100 back with a time of 58.39 seconds and the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.53, almost 13 seconds faster than runner-up Nik Earnest of Kennebunk, who finished in 2:26.16. Endrizzi was a winner in the 100 free, finishing in 54.05 seconds. Delisile won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.38.
Sophomore Jack Clark won the 200 free for the Red Storm with a time of 2:03.70. Clark also captured the 500 free with a time of 5:40.33. Coming in second in that race was Scarborough’s Adam Saltz, who finished in 5:59.55.
Scarborough also captured the 400 free relay, as the team of Spencer, Endrizzi, Saltz and Twomey won in 3:44.13.
