Men’s 4 on 4 basketball league
Smith Barney ended the Legends chance for an unbeaten season by holding them off late, 102-96. Shaun Williams had a game high 37 and CJ Lefevre 30 for Smith Barney.
Tom Farwell had 29 and Roger Dehetre 25 with eight threes for the Legends.
Ian Hebert hit a three at the buzzer to lead Dream Team past Hancock, 82-80. Seth Farrington led the winners with 41 and Jordan Hebert chipped in 19.
John Kohtala had 29 for Hancock, who trailed by 19 before rallying late.
Wreckin Ball upset SKB, 95-92. Brett Souchek had 31 and Jamie Coll 25 for Wreckin Ball. Bob Davies led SKB with 38.
Colonial Tree rallied in the second half to down Run N Gun, 103-84. Jason Thibodeau had 32 and Brian Wohl 28 for Colonial Tree. Rich Wong scored 26 and Brandon Mitchell 21 for Run N Gun.
VTEC pounded New Era, 107-79, to remain undefeated. Caleb Sayward had 38 and Pete Serafin 30 for the victors. Bill Hardwick led New Era with 31.
Men’s 40 & over basketball league
Smith Barney Sr. clinched first place going into the playoffs by downing Cole Farms, 64-43. The game was actually tied at halftime. John Bagshaw led Smith Barney Sr. with 34. Bill Chapman paced Cole Farms with 21.
Recking Crew ran past the Windham Warriors, 75-62. Roger Dehetre had seven threes and 23 points, Ed Lloyd matched with 23 for Recking Crew. Jon Jamieson led the Windham Warriors with 15.
Men’s flag football league
The Lightning made it three losses in a row for defending champ Pat’s Pizza, 34-30. Chris Roy’s punt return for a touchdown with under a minute to go sealed the win for the Lightning. Roy finished with 2 touchdown catches and 2 interceptions, one for a touchdown. Dan Diffin scored 2 touchdowns and had a sack for Pat’s.
Dayton Hitmen edged Whitney & Pound, 32-25. Scott Beattie threw four touchdown passes, two to Jeremy Beney, who also had two interceptions for the Hitmen. Adam Campbell tossed four touchdown passes and Preston Thomas had two sacks for Whitney & Pound.
Red Dog hammered the Backyard Bombers, 54-7. Adam Grant had a touchdown pass, a touchdown run and a touchdown catch for the winners, Chris Driscoll added 3 touchdown catches for Red Dog. Derek Dingwell had a touchdown catch for Backyard Bombers.
The Swamp Dawgs kept pace on top of the standings by crushing the Leatherheads, 58-0. Billy Call fired seven touchdown passes, including four to Seth Farrington, who also picked off a pass for the Swamp Dawgs. Jamie Coll had a strong game for the Leatherheads.
