Pantry Thanksgiving baskets
The Westbrook Food Pantry will be filling about 250 Thanksgiving baskets again this year thanks to community support.
Ann Brown, food pantry board president, said
businesses have come together to help this season. “Pizza Time in Westbrook is taking 10 percent off your bill if you donate to the food pantry; Hannaford is selling boxes for the food pantry this month; and CCB, Inc., organized 39 other businesses in Westbrook to do $100 donations each so that the food pantry was presented a $4,000 check Nov. 6 at our executive board meeting to help with the Thanksgiving basket costs,” Brown said.
Brown said Westbrook is “really coming together” with support, including junior high food drives.
To help or for more information, the food pantry can be reached by calling Jeanne Rielly, food pantry director, at 591-8147.
