The City of Westbrook has applied for a $350,000 grant to make improvements along the Presumpscot River, including correcting the erosion, fixing the boat launch and building a small amphitheater, seen here in this rendering. The improvements would be made along the area of the river adjacent to the baseball field behind the old high school. Keith Luke, economic and community development director, said he hopes to hear whether the city received the grant by the end of this month.
