Amber Wing of Windham, was awarded the Upperclass Iris Leadership at Elmira College during its fall academic convocation ceremony. The award recognizes upperclass students who have made outstanding contributions to student life, activities and leadership on campus.

Wing, a member of the class of 2009, is an education major with a concentration in social studies, is the fall orientation chairperson, a presidential scholar, an overnight coordinator for the office of admissions, an Elmira College ambassador and a Twin Towers resident assistant. She has studied in the Bahamas and in Spain, where she completed her student teaching.
