Harvest supper – Friday, Aug. 22, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church, McNeil Road, Fryeburg Harbor. Freshly cooked corned beef, all the vegetables, pies, coffee or cold drinks. Tickets go on sale at 5 p.m. $7, $3. Take-out available. Follow signs from Route 5 between Fryeburg and Lovell. Proceeds will help heat church this winter.
17th annual chicken barbecue – Saturday, Aug. 23, 5 and 5:45 p.m., Gray Congregational Church parish house, Brown Street, Gray. One-half chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, homemade biscuits, cakes and pies, punch and coffee. Take-out available. $9, $4.
Pig and turkey roast – Saturday, Aug. 23, 5-6:30 p.m., Windham Hill UCC, 140 Windham Center Road, Windham. Pork, turkey with extra side dishes and dessert. Served on parsonage lawn but in fellowship hall in case of rain. $10.
Roast beef dinner – Saturday, Aug. 23, 4:30-6 p.m., Stevens Avenue Congregational Church UCC, 790 Stevens Ave., Portland. $8, $4.
Bean supper – Saturday, Sept. 6, 4:30-6 p.m., Hollis Lions Club, Palmer Hall, intersection of routes 202 and 35, Hollis. Two kinds of beans, red hot dogs, chop suey, cole slaw and desserts. $6.
Beans and ham supper – Saturday, Sept. 6, 5 and 6 p.m., Prides Corner Congregational Church, 235 Pride St., Westbrook. Beans, ham, macaroni & cheese, cole slaw, Italian bread, homemade pies and beverages. $7, $4.
