A Sebago man is in Cumberland County Jail after state probation and parole officers found money, drugs and a loaded firearm at his home.
A routine probation visit from law enforcement officials to the home of Russell Edward Coughlin, 52, of 21 Peabody Pond Road Wednesday revealed he was dealing cocaine and marijuana, according to Cumberland County Sheriff’s Lt. Donald Foss.
Coughlin was arrested at around 8 p.m. by deputies assisting state probation and parole officers in a spot visit of Coughlin’s home. There they found cocaine stored in a tin container, marijuana, cash and two handguns, Foss said. Investigators are still processing the evidence so the amount of drugs remained undetermined.
Coughlin was on probation for a drug trafficking conviction, Foss said.
Coughlin was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. His bail was set at $200,000 property or $100,000 cash.
