New program for seniors launching
The Gorham Public Safety Department is inviting seniors and others to a free luncheon where guest speakers will introduce a new Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) program. The meeting will be held at St. Anne’s Church, 299 Main St., at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
The SALT program is part of a broader national program called TRIAD, a three-way partnership among law enforcement, senior citizens, and local community groups set up in towns across the country. The aim is to provide police education and assistance to seniors.
Free transportation can be arranged by calling the Gorham Recreation Department in advance at 222-1630.
