A woman was transported to the hospital Tuesday morning after a collision on William Clarke Drive in Westbrook.

According to Westbrook Police Officer Brett Bissonnette, the woman, driving a white Subaru Legacy, was turning left from Brackett Street onto William Clarke Drive at around 9:30 a.m. She pulled out in front of a white GMC pickup truck, traveling westbound on William Clarke Drive. The truck struck her vehicle from behind, Bissonette said.

Police blocked off a portion of William Clarke Drive, as the rescue squad extracted the woman from her vehicle. She was transported to a Portland hospital.

Neither her name nor the name of the pickup truck driver has yet to be released by police.
