The developer behind Stroudwater Place – the high-end retail, entertainment and recreation center proposed for Stroudwater Street – will visit the Westbrook Planning Board for the second time Tuesday.
The meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 114 at the high school, will consist of a Planning Board discussion of the project, and there will be no scheduled time for public comment.
Jason Snyder first proposed the 1.7-million-square-foot development to the City Council in February. He said the project, which would be Maine’s largest retail development, could create more than 4,000 jobs in Westbrook.
Snyder’s team includes his partner, Arthur Emil, a New York businessman, who owned Windows on the World, the restaurant that sat atop the World Trade Center; and architect Jane Thompson of Thompson Design Group of Boston, who was behind Boston’s Fanueil Hall, Union Station in Washington, D.C., and Chicago’s Navy Pier.
Snyder has already named Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom as possible retail tenants and Cheescake Factory and Legal Seafood as potential eateries.
