Help for veterans
Robin Shepard, a Maine Veterans Advocate, will be at the Windham Veterans Center April 9 from 9-11 a.m. He will be assisting veterans in applying for benefits. The service is free and no appointment is necessary.

A way with words
The following dates are remaining in the Creative Writing Workshop being held at the Windham Public Library: Wednesday, April 9; Wednesday April 23 and Wednesday, April 30. The workshop is held in the public meeting room from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Be a show-off
The town of Windham would like to remind all residential and commercial property owners to make sure that your street number is displayed in a conspicuous location on the front of your home or business.
Numbers should be at least 4 inches in size and of a contrasting color. If your structure is more than 50 feet from the road, numbers should be displayed on a post, fence or mailbox.
Easter gatherings
Elsie Haskell of Nash Road, Clayton and Kathy Haskell of Harriet Avenue and Michael and Tammy Haskell all enjoyed Easter dinner at the home of Trudy Haskell of Pope Road.
John Morrell entertained family and friends for Easter dinner. Those joining him were Kathy and Brittany Gilman, Josie Morrell, Kimberly Morrell, Bill and Jen Tom with son Joshua, Martha Poland, Jamie and Chelsi Poland, Jim Maurais, his daughter Hannah and his friend.
Bob and Mary Bouchard of Falmouth Road, enjoyed Easter dinner their daughter, Melissa Bailey, her husband, Kevin and their daughters, Cassidy and Aubrey.

Works by artist Warren Swetz of Windham are currently on display at the Windham Public Library. There are 18 beautiful photographs on exhibit, all of local subjects or landmarks. The artwork will be on display through April 30. The Windham Public Library is located at 217 Windham Center Road. For more information, library hours, or directions, please call 892-1908.
