Guy putting better:

Bill Chandler of Windham lines up a putt at the simulated Dorado Beach course at Fore Season Indoor Golf in Portland. Bill and his wife Holly took up golf last summer and have been playing indoors about once a week to ready themselves for the approaching outdoor golf season. “We’re just trying to improve a little,” Holly said. “We’d like to start out this year a little better than we ended up last year.” Staff photo by Harmony Motter

Here’s a look from the tee on the ninth hole at the simulated Riviera Country Club at Fore Season Indoor Golf in Portland. Indoor golf can be a good way prepare for the outdoor golf season, as the simulators accurately replicate the fun – and frustrations – of the real game. “If you’ve got a slice outside, you’re going to have it in here, too,” Fore Season owner Geno Echevarria said.
