Scarborough’s Chelsea Barrett unleashes a shot during the Tier II championship game earlier this month. The Scarborough girls finished the season 20-0 and won the Tier II championship with a 2-0 over Falmouth.

Scarborough’s Kelsey Ryan and the rest of the Red Storm swimmers had a strong season in the pool, finishing second overall at the state championships.

Scarborough’s Chris Hughes was named to the SMAA all-conference third team this season. Hughes, a senior, averaged 9.9 points per game and shot 70 percent from the free throw line this season. The Red Storm finished sixth overall, but were upset by 11th-seeded Biddeford in the prelims of the Class A Western tourney.
