Windham’s Matt Duffy has just wrapped up his junior season for the Maine Black Bears ice hockey team.

The Black Bears finished the season with an overall record of 13-18-3 (9-15-3 in Hockey East), and missed the Hockey East tournament, closing their season with a 2-1 overtime win over UMass-Lowell on March 8.

Duffy didn’t notch any points in the Black Bears’ season finale, but the junior defenseman, one of only two native Mainers on the Black Bears’ roster, did score six goals and two assists for a total of eight points this season.

One of the highlights of Duffy’s season came on Dec. 8, when he scored three goals to register his first collegiate hat trick in a win over Merrimack. Duffy was a force on offense that night, as he scored all of Maine’s goals in a 3-1 won over the Warriors.

In addition, Duffy ends the season leading the team in game winning goals, with three.
