End of life care, or hospice, is an overwhelming topic for most people, yet it’s a vital part of our lives.
Did you know Medicare covers the hospice benefit 100 percent? Come learn more about the comfort and quality that hospice care can bring to a patient and family.
Donna Teague, volunteer coordinator at Beacon Hospice will present an overview of Medicare hospice benefit and the unique role of the hospice volunteer, at a free program on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Unity Gardens, 124 Tandberg Trail (Route 115) in Windham. All are welcome.

Lunch is available at Unity Gardens and you can sign up for a meal at 892-3891, but please call 48 hours ahead of time. The senior meal menu that day is ham, sweet potato and salad plus dessert and beverage.
