Snowing cats and dogs
Linda Bickford, 50, created a cat and a dog from snow last week at 88 Brackett St., for her granddaughter, Abigail Bickford, 3.
“We finally got some sticky snow,” Bickford said Friday as her granddaughter enjoyed patting and playing on her snow dog.
She enjoyed making her artwork. “You’re never to old to play in the snow,” she said.
Social for seniors
All senior citizens are invited to a card and bingo party 1-4 p.m. every Thursday in the hall at St. Hyacinth’s Church on Brown Street.
Phil Mailhot, who is chairman of the weekly event, said it’s free and light refreshments are served. Mailhot said games prizes would be awarded.

Lincoln Club banquet
Phyllis Bailey, Westbrook, said the 123rd annual banquet of the Lincoln Club would be held Saturday at the Italian Heritage Center, 40 Westland Ave., Portland.
The meal, prime rib or baked stuffed haddock, will be served at 7 p.m. following a social hour at 6 p.m. Cost is $25 per person.
Bailey, club recording secretary, said tickets are available by calling Cora L. Brown at 772-2443.
