The Westbrook American reported on Jan. 30, 1963, that Marcella Ray was chosen as D.A.R. good citizen representative of Gorham High School. Known by friends as Sally, Ray, a senior, was an honor student.

In Buxton, Selectman Carl Deering requested that all articles and material for the annual town meeting be submitted by Feb. 2.
