CLYNK celebrates 10 stores with $3000 Magic Bag Contest
Scarborough, Maine- CLYNK, an exciting new way to redeem bottles and cans, has just opened its tenth bottle return center at the Buxton Hannaford. To celebrate its expansion to 10 stores, CLYNK will be running a $3000 giveaway contest starting on January 21st.
” We thought a big cash giveaway would be a great way to thank our loyal CLYNK guests and to introduce CLYNK to the rest of southern Maine,” said company spokesman Frank Whittier. ” And we wanted to do it in a fun way, because CLYNK is a fun, great way to recycle.”
Over the past two years CLYNK’s Retail Trainer, Crystal Coleman, has introduced 1000’s of people to CLYNK. ” Our guests are thrilled to finally have another option for recycling their bottles and cans. We always hear from our guests how the CLYNK system makes it convenient to do the right thing,” said Coleman. “And they really like how our bottle return centers are clean and smell great,” Coleman added.
The Magic Bag $3000 Giveaway is a series of four weekly drawings. Starting on Monday January 21st, the four weekly winners will be entered into the final drawing for the $3000 to be held on February 18th . There is no charge to enter the contest, all you have to do is sign up for a CLYNK card and drop off a CLYNK bag during the Magic Bag contest.
CLYNK is a card based bottle and can redemption system. The system uses leading edge automation and information technology to make recycling easy. The CLYNK Drop & Go service is only available at Hannaford Supermarkets. In 2008, CLYNK will be opening in 17 additional Hannaford Supermarkets.
CLYNK’s home office and processing facilities are located in Scarborough, Maine. CLYNK bottle returns are currently located at Hannaford Supermarkets in: Scarborough, Windham, Sanford, York, Westbrook, Biddeford, Saco, Millcreek/South Portland, Falmouth, Buxton.
