Three Biddeford residents were arrested and charged with armed robbery and a variety of other crimes over the New Year’s holiday, according to Maine Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland.
The three – Armand Goudreau, 39, Wayne Harlow, 27, and Nicole Mouzas, 25 – are believed to have been involved in the robberies that took place at a Getty Station on Route 1 in Saco and at the Big Apple in Hollis. They are also accused of a home invasion on Buff Brook Road in Waterboro. All three crimes took place within the past two weeks, McCausland said.
The Maine State Police, the York County Sheriff’s Department, the Saco Police Department and the Biddeford Police Department were all involved in the investigation that led to the arrests of Goudreau, Harlow and Mouzas, he said.
Goudreau was located at a residence in Portland and was arrested for class A armed robbery as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for not properly registering as a sex offender.
Harlow was located and arrested at a motel in Biddeford. He was charged with class A armed robbery and violation of condition of release. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants from the Biddeford Police Department for failing to appear in court on drug charges.
Mouzas was with Harlow in the motel room and was arrested for Class A armed robbery and for hindering apprehension.
McCausland said the four public safety departments are continuing the investigation into the crime spree and that more more arrests are likely.
During the course of the investigation five firearms were seized by police and three other people were arrested on outstanding warrants, McCausland said.
