The amount of money the town of Gorham will be receiving for a new housing development on a farm near Gorham Village was incorrect in the Dec. 13 American Journal editorial. For each house built that exceeds the number zoning allows, the town will receive $15,000 to put into an account to preserve land elsewhere in town, under a new town ordinance designed to discourage sprawl.
