Gorham promoted
Maj. Gen. John W. Libby, adjutant general of Maine Army National Guard, recently announced that Keith Gorham of Buxton has been promoted to specialist. Gorham is a member of the 262nd Engineer Company.
Perron graduates
Pvt. Aaron N. Perron has graduated from the Army’s nine-week basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Perron is a 2006 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School. He is the son of Patrick Perron of Gillette Road, Buxton.
O’Donnell graduates
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Michael J. O’Donnell has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
O’Donnell is the son of Roberta O’Donnell of Eaton Drive, Buxton, and a 2006 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School.
Wedge joins regiment
Midshipman Ann Wedge, Buxton, was recently sworn in as a member of the Maine Maritime Academy Regiment of Midshipman after successfully concluding six weeks of regimental preparatory training.
Wedge, a graduate of Bonny Eagle High School, is a member of the Maine Maritime Academy class of 2011. She is majoring in marine engineering technology.
Cutline (Buxton donation) – Brian Gains presents Jean Harmon, chairwoman of Buxton selectmen, with a check for $500 for the “Keep The Heat On” program. Gains is a member of Buxton’s Fire-Rescue Department and selected the heat program to make a contribution through Walmart. Pat Maloy, district manager of Walmart in Raymond, N.H., looks on. The program helps elderly pay home heating costs.
