Gorham Town Clerk Christina Silberman said at 4 p.m. that turnout for the town’s annual municipal election has been steady despite the rain.

Voters in Gorham will pick three town councilors from a field of eight, including three incumbents, for three-year terms. Two candidates, Roger Marchand and Kyle Currier, are running unopposed for two, three-year school committee seats. John Emerson is the lone candidate on the ballot for Portland Water District trustee representing Gorham.

Two local referendum questions will be decided. Voters will determine whether they want to borrow $3 million to repair local roads. Voters are also being asked to authorize spending $750,000 for additional athletic fields at the middle school. Approval of the questions for fields wouldn’t raise taxes because the town already has the money.

Gorham polls will be open until 8 p.m. District 1 votes at Little Falls School, Acorn Street; District 2, Masonic Building, Cressey Road; District 3, middle school, Weeks Road; and central, municipal building, 75 South St.
