The Cape Elizabeth football team just keeps on rolling.
The Capers (8-0) have just surrendered 28 points all season long, and continued their class B dominance with a 29-0 win on the road over Lake Region (2-6) Friday night.
The Capers were led by Tom Foden, who had three touchdowns to go along with almost 70 rushing yards. Foden scored on runs of 10 and 16 yards, and he also caught an eight-yard touchdown from quarterback Jim Bump.
The Capers also got scores from Adam Damilson, who scored on a six-yard pass from Bump, and Ian Wallace, who kicked a 34-yard field goal late in the second quarter.
The Lakers will wind up their season with a game against 6-2 Fryeburg Academy on the road at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
In other local football news, the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots fell to 0-8 on the season with a 46-12 loss to Wells at home Friday night.
The Patriots will finish the season on the road on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Poland to play the winless Knights at 1:30 p.m.
