The Scarborough boys soccer team moved on to the state semifinals on the strength of a 4-0 win over Westbrook on Friday afternoon.

The Red Storm were scheduled to take on Greely in a semifinal match on Oct. 23, a game played after the Current’s deadline, see www.keepMEcurrent.com for more on that game.

The Storm got to the finals with a win on a foggy afternoon in front of their home crowd. The Storm broke out to a 3-0 lead in the first half, thanks to goals by Trevor Hoxsie, Buddy Read and Jimmy Rouse. The Storm (14-0-1) got a second half goal from Jimmy Soules. Adam Blanchard finished with four saves in goal for the Red Storm.
